The Stunned Mullet has been a highly regarded dining destination in Port Macquarie since 2005. Over the last seven years we have gone from strength to strength, constantly developing our menus and wine list, much to the delight of our customers. The restaurant has featured in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide and also in the Gourmet Traveller Wine List of the Year guide for the last five years running.
Our philosophy focuses on the importance of ingredients. We source the freshest of local produce, from our beautiful and fertile Hastings region and pair these with innovative, international flavours, letting the results speak for themselves.
We aim to retain simplicity in our cuisine believing that the easiest way to gain the most dining satisfaction is purely to emphasise the beauty of quality ingredients- be it fish, steak, lamb, fresh local fruits and vegetables or anything at all. Skilled handling of fresh produce and perfected cooking methods are always the basis for all our delectable dishes.
The pairing of great wine with great food is also a hugely important to us. Owner Lou Perri’s passion for wine, both local and international varietals has led to the creation of an exemplary wine list where oenophiles will be absolutely spoilt for choice.
